I've been wanting to have more details for Kaya's background (I want a specific location for her family). There are some interesting facts there. I'm glad the population is back up from 1,000 to 12,000 (according to this paper) but their case (aside from three Maine groups) for being considered a federally recognized tribe has been pending since 1982?
